Fatpaint supports tablets
Lots of things happend during the last few weeks, lots of new kode were added and quite a few bugs as well, oh well… Thats the price for hurring up…
We recently implemented painting with dynamic brushes, and today we are very pleased to announce that Fatpaint now has support for pressure sensitive graphic tablets. We are pretty sure that Fatpaint is the first full featured online graphic software to have this support. So all of you out there that have a tablet, such as the Wacom Bamboo Pen, go see if it works with Fatpaint.
We tested the Wacom Bamboo Pen and Touch tablet on Windows 7, and it worked as expected. We had a few crashes on the Java pluging, when switching the focus away from the editor window and returning to the editor window for more painting. So, avoid switching to other windows in beetween painting with the tablet, if you do it, save the project first. In our case, the crash was only on the Java plugin, the editor frooze while Java was hanging, but them it returned to normal after the Java plugin was disposed by Google Chrome. We did not test on Mac or Linux.
The next few days, we will implement support for saving image files locally on the users computer. The uploading of large images is just to slow, so, it’s a must have…
Thats it for now.
